Description: The project facility was formerly a child development center which had been relocated and therefore no longer being used. The project included reconfiguring, renovating, altering and upgrading the facility for use by the U.S. Navy Band. The facility modifications included locker rooms, practice rooms, new HVAC and electrical systems. All sound equipment was relocated from the existing Navy Band practice area(s).
The scope of work for the Renovation of Buildings 3320 and 3320A included fencing, utility disconnection, hazardous waste abatement, demolition pre-engineered metal buildings, playgrounds and various interiors. New wall framing was installed. Seismic upgrades were performed. Rough in and finish work for plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire protection was performed. Tile walls, doors, flooring, paint, lockers, and marker boards were all included within the facilities. The band equipment and sound rooms were moved from the existing Navy Band Building.
